Your information, kept simple
This notice explains what personal information NextForge collects through this website, why, and your rights.
Who we are
NextForge is a sole trader business based in South Wales, providing websites, business apps and automations. We are the data controller for information you send us through this website. You can contact us about your information at [email protected].
What we collect
When you send an enquiry, we receive what you type into the form: your name, email address, and, if you choose to give them, your phone number, business name, budget and message.
This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not use analytics that follow you around the web.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and give you a quote. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, and taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
- If you become a client, to provide the work we have agreed (contract), and to keep records we are required to keep by law, such as invoices (legal obligation).
We never sell your information or use it for marketing lists.
Who else handles it
We use trusted service providers to run this website and deliver enquiries by email:
- Cloudflare, which hosts this website.
- Resend, which delivers enquiry emails to us.
- Our email provider, where enquiries are stored.
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, they use legal safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
If you do not become a client, we delete your enquiry within 12 months. If you do, we keep business records for six years after our work together ends, as required for tax purposes.
Clients' customer data
When we build or look after a system for a client, we handle their customers' information only on their instructions, as a data processor, under a written data processing agreement. Questions about that information should go to the business you deal with.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to how we use it, or ask us to restrict its use. Just contact us and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
